Lisa Hua has extensive experience in advancing nature conservation policies in China with a focus on biodiversity and protected areas. Collaborating closely with Chinese and international partners, she works to advance China’s ecological protection efforts. She also has considerable experience in wildlife trade control and habitat protection and has co-authored reports and books on wildlife protection and national parks, contributing extensively to the field through collaborative research. Hua has led her team to work with local partners at national and subnational levels in China on policy research, community co-management, and management capacity enhancement to support the construction of national parks with ecological connectivity and effective protection and management in China. Hua holds a master's degree in management from the University of Greenwich in the U.K. and is based in NRDC's Beijing office.
