Wei Li

Senior Project Manager, Conservation Project, NRDC China

Wei Li focuses on the research and analysis of China’s fisheries policies, such as total allowable catch (TAC), small-scale fisheries, fishery transition, and others. She also promotes sustainable fisheries management with Chinese and international partners. Before joining NRDC, she worked for the City University of Hong Kong and the United Nations Development Programme in China on climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. Before that, she conducted three-years of conservation work on marine mega-fauna, in particular, focusing on the whale shark. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Shandong University and an MPhil in marine ecology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
