Toward Carbon Neutrality Goal: Low-Carbon Transition Pathways for Commercial Banks


Conducted by the Credit Management Department of Postal Savings Bank of China, this research identifies the gaps in many Chinese banks in terms of climate risk analysis, environmental information disclosure and product innovation capabilities, compared with international best practices. The report recommends that to ultimately become carbon neutral in operations and financial assets, commercial banks should strengthen their overall strategic planning, carbon accounting and information disclosure, as well as facilitate carbon emissions reduction and carbon offsetting.
