Improving China’s Existing Renewable Energy Legal Framework Lessons from the International and Domestic Experience


Expanding the share of renewable energy in its energy mix is one of the key pillars of China‘s low-carbon development strategy. This report analyzes the key tools under China’s Renewable Energy Law, including national renewable energy targets, a mandatory connection and purchase policy, and the establishment of a feed-in tariff system, and provides recommendations for improving implementation of the Renewable Energy Law.
