The inaugural China Africa Wildlife Conservation Forum was successfully held in Beijing on July 21, 2016, with over 50 participants including the State Forestry Administration, researchers, NGOs, SOEs in Africa, and members of the media. This forum was co-organized by NRDC, China Wildlife Conservation Association, IUCN, and Syntao. It created a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue to advance wildlife conservation and sustainable development agendas, as well as increase awareness and encourage action in fighting against wildlife trafficking. NRDC President Rhea Suh delivered welcoming remarks at the forum, demonstrating NRDC's leading role in the initiative. The forum showcased NRDC's extensive experience bringing together stakeholders to create positive and collaborative change.
