NRDC has prioritized legislation research for a climate change response law in China. In July, NRDC supported a high-level delegation organized by China's National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC) to visit the U.S. and Mexico to study their climate change legislation. The delegation consisted of key governmental officials, legislators and scholars. The trip will prove useful when China takes into account the institutional framework and enforcement of U.S. climate action while formulating its own climate response law. In September, NDRC hosted an NGO seminar for feedback on the drafted law, and NRDC was invited as a representative for international NGOs.
