Transportation contributes about 14% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and international cooperation on policy, technology, and business is an effective strategy to support emission reduction efforts. To support international collaboration on transportation decarbonization, NRDC spoke about our China EV-grid integration project experience and  why cross-sectoral collaboration is critical for further EV uptake and low-carbon transition at the “Road to Zero – Low Carbon Transport Transition” workshop hosted by the British Consulate General in Shanghai. The workshop, held on March 19 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, aimed to enhance UK-China collaboration on low-carbon transport transition. Caroline Wilson, the British Ambassador to China delivered the opening remarks, experts from China and Europe introduced their experiences and plans on promoting low carbon transition in transport sector. Local government officials had a good discussion with the experts. Over 100 industry stakeholders participated in the event.
