Experts' discussion in NRDC co-chaired session @Zhang Hui

NRDC co-hosted the annual conference of China Society of Natural Resources (CSNR) with Marine Resources Professional Committee of the CSNR, Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and other partners to share research on innovative and sustainable use of natural resources on November 12-13. More than 13,600 scientists, researchers and students attended the online conference. NRDC co-chaired a session on Innovation on Land & Sea Integrated management and introduced a recent case study on 5 countries’ state-level structures and practices in marine fisheries management, with setting and implementing catch limits as a core component. NRDC emphasized that science is key to all responsible and rational decision-making in modern sustainable fisheries management. Bridging the gap between science and management, the study can provide valuable reference for China on reform of catch limit system.
