NRDC collaborates with government partners, academic institutions, and local organizations to strengthen and improve the enforcement of environmental laws and policies. NRDC advises on the drafting and amendment of major Chinese environmental laws and regulations, such as the Environmental Protection Law, the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law, Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law,Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Law, and the relevant climate change laws and regulations, and regularly provides expert policy analysis and recommendations regarding some of China’s most important and challenging environmental governance issues. NRDC also provides training, research, and exchanges on best practices in environmental law and governance issues to judges, lawyers, NGO staff, and governmental officials.
