This report is one of the deliverables of "Research on Legal Mechanism for Addressing Climate Change under Carbon Neutrality " undertaken by the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation（NCSC）and supported by NRDC. The report discusses the legal mechanism for "ecological carbon sinks" in the context of carbon neutrality. Based on the analysis of the potential and characteristics of ecological carbon sinks such as forests, grasslands, wetlands, and oceans, the report maps out the development of the legal mechanism for ecological carbon sinks at the domestic and international levels. It also identifies the problems in developing China's ecological carbon sink and proposes recommendations accordingly.
The report is only available in Chinese.
