NRDC was the only international NGO invited to present at a high-level conference on climate change legislation organized by China's National Development and Reform Commission on November 11. China Program Director Jingjing Qian introduced the United States'legal approachto climate change, with an emphasis on the newly released Clean Power Plan (CPP). To support the ongoing drafting of China's Climate Change Response Law, NRDC completed a study in August that detailed the U.S. legal and institutional framework of climate change response, and facilitated a study tour to the U.S. and Mexico to learn from international experiences. NRDC also provided recommendations and feedback to the draft law at various conferences and workshops.
